The dream

The dream behind Crystal Collaborations is to provide a physical location with an expert team that can display and sell art from different creators. Currently we have 5 collaborators and we physically display their work weekly at 3 different farmers markets and more than 10 local events throughout the year.

We also gain the knowledge and expertise to effectively present our collaborators work. Sometimes a product looks pretty enough to buy right away, sometimes it needs to be explained or presented. Crystal Collaborations is committed to providing exactly what's needed to give your products the spotlight at our markets.

We are actively saving up to purchase a pagoda stand in a local mall to increase our audience. We are on track to achieve this goal in Fall of 2022.

The Beginning

December of 2020 I started making gemstone bracelets. My sister, who is much more social than me, thought it would be a blast to try to sell them. We had no store, no website, no business cards. Just a bunch of handmade bracelets in a box and on our wrists. Within a few weeks my sister sold 12 bracelets off of her wrist or out of her purse to people she talked to throughout her day. The cashier at WAWA, the greater at Walmart, the lady at the Bus Stop. There was even this one time we handed a bracelet to a cashier at Game Stop because it just fit this person’s outfit so perfectly. They said they couldn’t pay for it and my sister and I shrugged and gave him the bracelet. Months later we received a $10 payment on PayPal from that person.

Of course for every bracelet we sold, we probably gave away 2 more. We had more fun making and giving them away than making any profit from them. We would always talk about the gemstones on the bracelet as well, it’s wonderful to see someone’s face brighten when they hear about how Rose Quartz reminds you that you’re worthy of love, or how Amethyst reminds you to trust your intuition, or how Obsidian can help you through a difficult day.

After seeing these bracelets bring so much joy to people we started wondering how we could introduce more people to gemstones and crystals. Many of our crystal shopping spots did not have hand made or customized bracelets so we wanted to bring something more unique to people and make it as affordable as possible. We had to start small but we have big goals! So in March of 2020 we started our journey of selling and teaching about crystals at the Berlin Farmer’s Market. Within 1 year we expanded to the Columbus Farmer’s Market and the Cowtown Farmer’s Market.
